I hate to not really respond to the original thread premise, but I'm gonna have to agree with TheCheshireKitten on this one. I don't really buy anything unless I want it, and I don't get movies for gifts unless I ask for the ones I want...or I just ask for money.

Gone with the Wind - I've never seen it

but I've had it for almost a year

Saving Private Ryan

I didn't actually buy them, but I have Mystic River, The Last Samurai and LOTR- The Return of the King (I haven't seen the first 2 either). My sister got them in some dvd club and already had a copy for herself so she gave them to me. I really want to see them but I just don't have the time to watch them right now.

The English Patient on DVD. I own it since about 6 months...but I don't have the time to watch it.

There's No Business Like Show Business. I bought a Marilyn Monroe DVD thing and a bunch of her movies came with it and I never got around to watching this one. I doubt I ever will.

I have the cartoon version of The Lord Of the Rings from circa 1970-something. I'm afraid its going to ruin everything for me so I leave it alone.

I have a few Disney movies that I've never watched. I collect them just to have them (for my future kids too), but some I don't really care if I watch or not.

Also have a collection of classic horror films (with Lon Chaney and Bela Lugosi and the like) that I got for Christmas one year. I've never watched any of them, though I keep meaning to.

my brother bought a lot of movie I never felt like watching like Bruce Almighty,XXX,8 Crazy Nights,The Recruit,One Hour Photo,Book of Shadows-Blair Witch 2...yeah a lot.

"Dune". It was one of the first DVD's I owned and I still haven't seen it till this day. The other day I was at Blockbuster and I found out that there's a "Dune: Kids".

I bought the Movie "Lord of the Rings" as a birthday present fr my dad a few years ag. But, he told me, he didn't like this movie, and so I decided to watch it :(
So, I watched it 1 hour, but I found it boring and stopped watching...
Well, the DVD is laying about 3 years now at home, and nobody in our family watched the whole movie :D

I taped a movie called "Nadja" off the tv and still haven't seen it. Also a movie called "The Hairdresser's husband" which I'm still gathering interest for.

Sea Biscuit. Evertime i sit down to watch it somebody tells me its really long and I watch something else. I hear it is really good though.
