Movies you had wished you had seen at the cinema

Aliens

My favourite film of all time, i'd love it if they did what they did with Alien and re-released it in cinemas for it's 25th anniversary in 2011, i'd definitely pay to see it on the big screen, despite having it on DVD.

The Eastwood spaghetti westerns would of been fun

But mainly famous horror movies when they were first released due to the atmosphere alone which you only get with a horror.
Jaws
Excorcist
Psycho
Texas chainsaw massacre
Halloween
Nightmare on elm street
Hellraiser
The Fly remake
In their first month of release the audience reaction must of been incredible to witness, especially Exorcist & Jaws.

Lately I regretted not seeing Hostel at cinema due to the hype, but when i viewed it I realized it was mainly hype so nevermind.

Saw Armageddon with a friend at the cinema on opening night. During the Bruce Willis and daughter scene (you know the one) i nudged my friend to whisper to her how sad it was and she let out the loudest wailing sob you've ever heard in your life :o

For me the only ones i can think of atm are Independance Day and Starship Troopers - again noisy and cheesy but no doubt fantastic on the big screen.

Napoleon Dynamite
Grease

the latter: would have been great to have seen that classic in the cinema, when it first came out (and if i was actually born as well).

would love to have seen The Shining, The Entity, The Changeling, The Fog and Halloween at the cinema. Found all of them pretty frightening on first and repeated viewings, especially The Entity, The Changeling and The Shining.

Also Aliens,(maybe Camerons best) and The Terminator

not sure what else as I have been a regualr cinemagoer since 1989 and have seen pretty much everything else I wished to see bar the odd exception

i remember seeing titanic at the flicks, its still the only film ive been to see when all the ladies in the auditorium are crying there eyes out and everyone gave it a standing ovation (sp) at the end, there was shouting screeming whooping and all sorts, you would have thought that james cameron was watching it with us!!!!
