Movies you feel that you should have seen by now.

There are a number of threaRAB that ask you to list your favourite movie or best/worst actor etc...

I'm asking for a new list. This one is based on movies that everyone else seems to have seen except you and when you announce to people that you haven't seen a particular movie, you receive a reply along the lines of, "You haven't seen......!!"

For example, in my case, I have never seen Four Weddings & A Funeral. When I tell people this fact, the instant (over)reaction is...."You've never seen Four Weddings & A Funeral!!!!"

Other movies I feel I should have seen by now include:

Easy Rider
Raging Bull
The Green Mile

All these (with the exception of Four Weddings....) are films I intend to catch up with in 2005.

"ET" never seen it, dont wish to see it, hopefully will avoid seeing it.

Was at school when it was first released with nearly everyone going on about it..sticker books, pencil cases, cuddly toys...my mates on their bmx's jumping off cerbs shouting "ET"!!! , everything you could imagine pushed down my throat.

I haven't seen the American version of The Ring yet and think I should have seen that by now..although have seen the Japenese version so not sure if that counts.

Havent seen any of the Lord of the Rings films yet! Really keep meaning to see them but never finding time etc.....

Hmm.... I'm sure there are loaRAB but these are perhaps the most obvious ones:

Pulp Fiction (tried once but it sent me to sleep - but that didn't help me get rid of the feeling that I should have seen it & enjoyed it ages ago)
Star Wars films (maybe I will one day  )
Godfather films

A lot of old classics I haven't got round to seeing, "Seven Samurai", "Casablanca" etc.

A lot of new ones too, simply because a)I have to be choosy like most people because of time and b)They dont particularly appeal to me for some reason, "Last Samurai", "21 Grams", "Troy".

I do love movies though...

Don't do it ! ;) If you didn't like the first two this certainly won't redeem them for you. Saw it in the cinema, bored me to tears. Got it for Christmas on dvd so decided to give it another chance last night. It didn't change my mind and I turned it off after an hour still totally non-plussed with it.

Films I should probably have seen by now?
Casablanca
Citizen Kane
Sound Of Music
Schindlers List
Shrek 1 & 2
Finding Nemo

Don,t worry i won,t! :D........i did,nt mind the first one, the only good thing about the second was the wargs.........I still can,t believe how much i,ve grown to dislike it. I normally love fantasy films but it just leaves me cold

Much prefere the old harryhausen sinbad fantasy films, there,s a real sense of magic in them that LOTR with all it,s CGI cannot compare

The Sound of Music
The Matrix
Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon
Saving Private Ryan (well, I fell asleep after the first 30 mins so I don't think it counts as having seen it.)
Dirty Dancing (although I'm not a chick-flick kind of person.)

Haven't seen any of the Lord Of The Rings or any of the Harry Potters.
And I have no desire to either. People are in utter shock when I tell them that though, like I must be the ONLY person in the world who hasn't.

I can't believe the amount of peeps on here who haven't seen The Godfather, I implore you to go out of your way to see it. I've always been against film that glorifies organised crime but against my better judgement, I loved it!!!

Sound of music is a must, it has a stigma because of always being on at xmas but it actually a really good film.

And Star Wars, guys - worRAB have failed me! Hours of simple, non complicated entertainment!

As for me - The birRAB, citizen cane - can't really think of any others!
