I think it's a late 90's to early 2000 movie.
The only thing I can remember was...It's a movie about a bunch of high-school teens who they thought they killed a grumpy old man who owns a large property, but the old man was not killed. the girl from the group got accidentally killed when she slipped on a log to cross the river....one scene I remembered was the guy was circling his chair while listening to a loud music and smoking marijuana...I think they were 4 in the group 1 nerdy type guy , 1 normal type guy , 1 cool looking marijuana smoking guy and 1 sweet looking girl.
the girl died after she slipped from the log and the back of her head bumped a sharp stone.
The girls father I think was a sheriff or a policeman.
The property a ranch of some sort of the grumpy old man was so big that there was trees and stuff...like a forest...
I forgot the title and I recall I watch it on HBO I think...
