Movie Theater Ads!!!

commercials on in theaters is annoying... i am paying 10.50 in new york city , so i'm expecting to see no commercials, but i see the new ford or bmw or whatever latest car i see..... fuck commercials, i know theater need to make money because greedy people at hollywoord dont pay enough to them, the reason they charge so much for fuckin' popcorn and 3.95 for fuckin' bottle of water.

we pay a fortune for these dumb movies - then have to sit for god knows how long watching stupid commercials. Are Pepsi, coke, lexus, goodyear, nascar or movie phone really so desperate for money that they need to piss off moviegoers? I think not....

Enough is enough

I don't mind the commercials but as far as paying for them, I'd prefer they start before the previews. I like the previews and to me, they are part of the movie experience and I'm quite happy paying to see them along with the movie. I don't, however, want to pay for the commercials that I could very well see at home for free. I could see the previews at home for free as well as see the movie for free later on when the movie channels release them. I like tradition and for me previews and feature is a tradition for me...not tv commercials. Thank goodness for TiVO so I don't even have to see the commercials at home!

i dont like advertisements but i can deal with them, stop complaining ppl. Soon they are gonna figure out a way to advertise in your dreams. Like in futurama.

yeah, i like funny commericals though. What the advertisers dont get is that when they make a commercial like that, people will focus more on the comdey than buying the product.

I don't mind the slide show ads for local buisnesses, I actually enjoy seeing some of them because they give you some options from the crap corporations. But major corporations showing ads before the movie like T.V. ads is truly fucked up. Plus try showing up to a movie on a friday or saturday 15 min before it starts, you'll have a crick in you neck for 2 days.

I think he means actual TV adds.. they do it in California theatres too. At least at Reagal theatres they do.

But the truth is The theatres are hurting. Film Process is expensive and they are barely making ends meet. Most profits are never recovered at the theatre but when they come out on DVD.

when he said he paid 16 bucks I hope he meant for both his girl and himself. its only about 10-11 bucks in the Bay Area which prices in general are the highest in the nation.

But if they didnt run those adds they might slap an addition buck to your tickets.

I do hope that the new Digital technology coming out in a few years that will replace film should at best freeze ticket prices or even lower them. But i wouldnt hold my breath to that. But digital will be alot cheaper to send via satalittes vs film having to be delivered.
