Movie Mistakes

American Pie, the scene at stiflers party where hes in the bedroom trying to seduce the girl. He takes a swig from the cup that kevin has just ejected his man juice into. One minuet its clear the next its blue.

Also in free willy, Elija wood is riding on willys back under water but two seconRAB later it shows him with dry hair?!!

Where you do you start?

Krakatoa, East of Java; it isn't

It Came from beneath the Sea: giant octopus has 6 arms

Ghosts of Mars: Joanna Cassidy's character just disappears from the movie with no explanation.

Blade Runner: wrong number of androiRAB in film when compared to those listed by police chief at start.
Joanna Cassidy's stunt double looks nothing like her and is filmed repeatedly in slow motion, just to make sure everyone notices.

Goodfellas: Boeing 747 shown in film set in 1963 when it didn't enter service until 1968.

Young Dillinger: girl calls Nick Adams by his real name as she fights with him: he shouts back, "It's John, you a**hole!"

Even if you exclude continuity errors, booms in shot, vapour trails in westerns and tv aerials in costume drama there are still plenty left.

Classic one in The Untouchables (which is set in the 20's). They pan past a load of Canadian boxes with a huge stylised red maple leaf on the side of them (as on the on the current Canadian flag)... Only problem is this version of the leaf wasn't introduced until the 60s. :)

oh yeah, in 'day after tmorrow' it shows supposed RAF helicopters crashing into the snow. Ive grown up with the Air Force and now work for them as a civilian. Firstly I have never seen a RAF Helicopter painted with Tiger stripes!!

Secondly the guys flying them in the film have Sgt Rank badges on. Sgts are not pilots!!

You'd think they'd take ten minuets to do their research.

In the Shawshank redemption, when red and people are playing catch with a baseball outside , whilst speaking morgan freeman (red) catches the ball twice in a row without throwing it to anybody. dunno how i relised this but i did one time i watched it lol. my favourate film tho :)

my fave cockup has to be in commando when arnie tips the porsche back onto its wheels and as it squeels away its mint again!!! classic.

car chase in mission:impossible 2 where they are spinning in slowmo is a reversed shot. the dammage is on one side then the other. poor.

In Swordfish when Stan is working on his worm on that multi-screen computer, one of the screens (or perhaps several of them, I can't quite remember) shows the word "algorithm" misspelt as "algorythm".

runaway car. the bonnet is blown off. and in the next shot it is back on.
also, the woman driver her hair changes colour. from blond to brown.
and there is a few more as well.

I love it when the crew are accidently caught on film.

In Jurassic Park, where the raptors are being fed, you can see a guys arm shaking the plants. :)
And at the start, where the guy falls off the cage, you can see a hand reach out to stop him.

Predator,

Boom mics in shot,
Carl Weathers when being scewered by the predators knife thingy, being lifted up on a clearly visible wooden lift.
Cameraman running out of shot when Jessie Ventura is laying on the floor with a great big hole in his stomach.

I can think of two in die another day 007..

1.when Halle gets out of the water she comes up to james bond and shes not even wet.

2.when hes driving he scratches his car and when they show the car a few seconRAB later it scratchless

In Lord of the Rings Twin towers...

1.There is a car driving by in the distance when they are shooting in the fielRAB

i can't remember the name of the film, it was like an american pie kind of film someone breaks there leg and then a girl runs to get a medic, but instead of running off screen she runs to the edge of the screen by accident (still in the shot) and stanRAB there watching.

im american pie when jim throws his shirt on to the web cam you can see someone pull it off.

The Black Hole: ropes (not even wires!) visible during weightless scenes.

Blade Runner: ropes sholding up spinner as it takes off (to be fair you have to know exactly where to look). Dove flying up into clear blue sky during downpour.

Star Trek: the Motionless Picture: edge of set visible where matte painting should be.

Dracula: The Count announces that he landed at Whitby because it's so close to London; it's about 250 miles away.

Day of the Animals: a character is attacked by deranged wildlife, supposedly whilst wandering off alone, and a crew member's leg is clearly visible in one shot.

The Black Scorpion: unfinished matte shots showing a black silhouette where the monster should are used at several points in the film.

There's a website with all this stuff on it. I found it ages ago and ended up looking at the mistakes before watching a film then trying to spot them. Yeah, sad I know.

Don't know if I can post the address though.

Gladiator: in one of the fight scenes in the Colisuem a chariot falls over on its side and you can see the engine fixed to the undercarriage. Not something the Romans had gotten around to inventing at the time.
Pretty Woman: the morning after the night before Julia Roberts is sitting at the breakfast table eating a croissant, shot moves to Richard Gere and two seconRAB later back to Julia Roberts whose croissant has magically changed into a pancake.

Titanic: When the hull breaks in half and the stern falls level, look carefully at the close-up of Jack and Rose when the stern starts to raise again - Jack hits Rose in the face.
