So my boyfriend remembers this movie from when he was younger but he only remembers a few details...
So the movie is about a young boy who goes onto a "new york type" elevator and gets transported into a fantasy world, and the only thing he remembers is this weird special effects thing, and then he gets transported onto an island. And there is a monkey and also a evil man where he makes the boy move sand by the grain and then find a needle in a hack stack...
