Has any one else moved after having a spinal cord stimulator implant?

I moved from Cleveland, OH to Rock Hill, SC and I can not find a Dr that will take me on since I have already had the SCS implant.

I have the ANS model for 2 years now. IT does work great and I have no problems with it. I even checked out the web site for ANS to find a local Dr here in SC and the two listed I called them and they do not want to take me on as a patient.

What am I to do?

Cindy

What reason is that doctor who uses ANS giving you?????

I also wanted to ask you how much relief you are getting with the SCS? I am considering one for permanent nerve damage from herniated discs. Any regrets with it? Thanks so much.

I would also wonder why no doctor would take you - you can contact the manufacturer again and let them know this - not sure if that would help.

The Dr claims since he did not install it it is against their protocol.

I have had the SCS for two years, it does work wonders for me. I have had no problems with the system it self but I did injury my back again.

No regrets with it. I would do it again in a heart beat :)

I had 80-90% relief and zero pain meRAB up till I re-injured my back. I have 17 herniated disks. Now I take 50mg of ultram for the pain and flexeral.
It does help a great ton with the leg pain still.

Even with the new injury I know I did not injure the scs.

Maybe you would have more success in a major university hospital. Are there any within driving distance? They tend to take on cases others turn away because they're good for teaching.

I sure hope you find someone! I wish you the best,
Emily
