Move download sites?

Does anyone know of a good reliable movie download site at a reasonable cost? and perhaps just as important, one that lets you search their library to see if they stock the films that you are interested in downloading. There appears to be plenty of sites out there, but they seem to want your money before you can do a search. Could turn out to be pretty expensive they do not stock your particular taste in films.
 
I think it's important to mention that many of these sites are operating illegally and don't pay money to the studios, thus exploiting all concerned. In fact, many of the sites actually steal the illegal content off of other unofficial/illegal sites!

That said, there are a few officially recognized sites - unfortunately I have heard very little said about them, good or bad. I'd be interesting in hearing what others have to say too - particularly about quality/filesize ratios...
