My mountain biking is just okay...and considering the last time i did ride was a long time ago with bad results i'm a little weary about a three day trip to Bend, Oregon. BTW, my dad signed us up for the really technical ride and totally lied about it to me! Dear God i am so terrified! But anyways, my question was what type of training should i do to get ready for this? The ride isn't until later this year...

First of all if it a technical ride their are several things that you might want to do.

First get out and just do some distance riding going on with your bike you are going to use. Make sure you work on your hill climbs because you will have to go up and down alot with not much speed.

Second, do you have any a mountain bike park around your area. Here in Seattle we have a great place under I-5 Colonnade Park. Work on holding a line try and balance on curbs around town. Get out to your local places to ride. Ride the most windy trails you can find. Work on getting over exposed roots without putting your feet down.

Third learn to do simple repairs to your bike on the trail. Fix broken chain, fix a flat, ect...

Wish you the best!!
