I am wondering, if i purchase an older cricket phone like the krzr, which doesn't have tri-band, and is original cricket, will it work with the new natiowide coverage? I'm paying for the nationwide, and i currently have the S1300 so i want a camera phone but all the new ones are too expensive.

Can anyone tell me for sure if this phone will work on the new sprint coverage?
 
Yes the K1M will work with the new sprint coverage as long as you have the correct prl. But if you happen to be in an AWS market your phone will not work unless you have roaming on your account.
