Motorola Droid or Palm Pixi Plus?

I have been saving up for a Palm Pixi Plus which is $99 at Verizon. The guy at the Verizon store was saying everything negative about the Pixi, and thought I should get a Droid. I've heard that the Droid is heavier, but the Pixi is slower. HELP ME!
