Motorola Droid Gmail help...?

When I reply to an email w/ Gmail on my moto droid, it puts an RE: in subject line, if other person replies and I then reply again I now have Re: Re: Re:..etc. So, after say 5 emails, my subject line is now Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: . Does anyone know how to stop this? Normal pc based gmail does not do this. Any help is appreciated.
