Motorola Droid Full Solution Updated

I am with you until I get here. I guess what I am not getting is where is this folder (\android\tools) located. So far your instructions are great and alot of things are becoming clearer. How do I make this folder and move files to it?

c:\android\tools is the Android SDK it is located in your C: drive.
You need to install the SDK if you haven't already.
By default it installs as c:\android-sdk-windows\ but you rename the folder to android to make things easier.
 
this is one lesson for me, i got 3g icon, all things pushed , i followed all term emu steps all things are there, but no internet and noo mms, i am a dealer i am on the 60 dollar plan and i even put it as a v3c but still nothing ,hmmm lol what could i be missing i am on bugless beast

Some customs roms don't have maps included and you will need to redownload it from the market.

If it wont download try the follow the steps here

1. open the Root Explorer app
2. navigate to /system/apps and make the folder Read/Write
3. long press on maps.apk to rename the maps.apk to maps.apk.bak
4. make the folder Read/Only
5. reboot
6. menukey > Settings/Applications/Managed Applications/ menukey > filter > all
7. locate com.android.google.apps.maps which has a size of 0.00b
8. click it and uninstall
9. go to the market, search for google maps and install

I don't know about the kernels with BB so check if you have iptables in your kernel by going to term emu type su then type iptables and press enter. You should see something like iptables v 1.3.7 and a line about no parameters. If you see this then you have iptables. If you get back unknown command then you do not have iptables. If that is the case I suggest you use cyangenmod or smoked glass. Again I am not sure about iptables in the BB kernels
 
well heres the thing , the first time i used smoked glass, and tried it 4 times and never could get wifi to work, and i followed every step to a tee,

i typed what you told me in term emu and got

iptables v1.3.7: no command specified
try iptables -h
 
right now i dont have wifi tether cause every time i flash smoked , i can never get wifi working so i installed the bb through update.zip

anybody know about logmein? lol
 
You need to change your kernel to one that supports wifi.
Back when I had this problem I used a smoked glass kernel and a patched tiwlan_drv.ko file to fix the wifi issue.
I have a kernel named Smoked.Glass.Boot.ESD56.rom.tgz that might work for you.
First make sure you do a nandroid backup just in case.
Download the file and save it to root of sdcard (no need to rename or unzip) and install using sprecovery

Edit:
I'm not using sprecovery, but I think that file may will give you options on which OC kernel to install. Just pick something low voltage and not too crazy of a speed. If using Setcpu change to your preferred speed.
