@mobylon Interesting. But if it works, it works. For those a little concerned about OCin their phone, check into an app called setCPU. A must have for root users!

I had no wifi for days . Thanks. overclocking worked. Now i have to figure out the rest but at least that is done. Thanks. This is a great forum on this motorola droid.

Got a question. With CDMAWS v2.7 and using whiterabbit's NV generator, WS v2.7 tells me that it has successfully written 11 items, instead of 12? Why is that?

This is a very good question. And I know many people have fully flashed their Droids to cricket with 2.7. I use cdma ws 3.5, so its hard for me to help. Would be nice if those who have done it with 2.7 would chime in.

Make sure that NVT is unchecked in HWVSP and that you have placed the phone in DMode in CDMA WS and your using the default password and 00000 SPC in the security tab. I still use the old 2.7 and need to play with it sometimes. Sometimes even changing to the highest port will make the difference.
But most of the time it's the NVT.

Yeah, I make sure all that is done properly, 3 times over. I use COM10. I have no problems flashing NV items/PRLs, but that's my only qualm. I'm thinking that's the reason why I only see Rev 0 on my phone instead of Rev A. I'm still wondering if my phone seeing Rev A will make a difference even though I'm already on the HTML data plan. I've currently using a SID from Az--4923, though I'm based in California. I have no problem receiving/making calls, and everything else. It may also come down to the PRL. A person I know says he's using the 32988 PRL and his phone is saying Rev A--he is also on the HTML data plan. I'm thinking about SBF'ing and starting all over...again. =/

What speed you getting with the html plan?
I have the html plan and i get:
621 kbps down
663 kbps up

EDIT: Ive got Rev A btw

I get about 800 down/500 up.

On pervious topic, I got WS v2.7 to write all 12 items successfully. I sent the spc code to the phone first--that was the only thing I had done out of the norm. I OTA'd with my wife's Dare, and hooked it up to LGNPST, and extracted the PRL the OTA gave her--32000. I doubt anyone would be interested. Right now, she's on the $40 plan (talk/text/web/pix). Successfully writing in LGNPST made no difference. Phone still shows Rev 0. I've confirmed that the EVDO status changes over when I modify the MIN and MDN--not even the SID change bumped it down to Rev 0. If the EVDO status is changing with me entering in the MIN and MDN, then I can assume it's a local tower telling the phone what Rev to use. Is there a way I can try to change my MIN with cricket, or is that permanently tied to the phone number?

Finally after a week i have the droid fully flashed to cricket. From on experience I would like to add. That because wifi tethering was required when loading the rom I assumed (WRONG) that i had to use wifi tethering to go to market. No just the reqular wifi. Second I had to edit the SID in workshop 3.5 to my area and third. On the last part that says ADB REBOOT. wouldnt work for me but just REBOOT worked. Thanks everyone who made this possible.

You have to exit out of adb shell in order for adb reboot to work. Alternatively, like you've done, you can just type reboot while under adb shell.

I need help I'm trying to instal the SDK file I downloaded from the first page onto a new computer and it keeps erroring and there is nothing to install it's all empty, can someone pleae help me! Thanks!

I am having trouble getting this phone in DM mode. I am holding T and powering up. open the vitual port and still cdma says my phone isnt answering. I am also getting an error when trying to create com3 in the HW Serial port.

dajiggiest1, dont power on the phone, power off, and plug in while holding t.

bootsie, best bet is to download the sdk from google, search for android sdk. after u place the android-sdk-windows in the root of c drive, u can rename it to just android for easier reference. make sure u run the sdk setup inside to get all api's and platforms, especially important is the usb drivers

Still no luck getting this phone is dm. Im using Vista anyone think that could be my issue. Windows detects my phone, but when I connect to port 3 CDMA wont do a thing. Keep getting phone does not answer. One more thing my phone only goes as far as the welcome to droid screen. Cant do anything else. Any ideas?
