Motorola Droid Full Solution Updated

As for the wifi issue, I have had a few people bring this to my attention. I am speaking to a few people for a resolution on this. It would help if someone who is having this issue reinstall their rom. This time, dont install wifi tether. Just want to test a theory. Also, xsylus posted this over on mobile-files:
I think the issue some are having with the tiwlan_drv.ko are permissions. Use a terminal emulator or adb shell go into the /system/lib/modules directory as SU and type:
Code:
busybox chmod 644 tiwlan_drv.ko
Click enter then type:
Code:
busybox chown 0.0 tiwlan_drv.ko
That worked for me when my WiFi was unable to be started.

So try xsylus' suggestion. But still, would help if someone could reinstall the rom without wifi tether. And see if that fixes it. I will get back to you later. :)

did you try what xsylus suggested?

EDIT: When you go to settings>wireless & networks>WiFi Settings And enable wifi, what does it say? Does it give an error? Does it show any networks? If it shows networks, and you try to connect, does it give an error?

Someone suggested to overclock. Try reinstalling with wifi tether, and the 800 oc kernal.(its one of the options when you install). I dont really know if it will help, but its worth a shot.

Just got off the phone with gijoey1980. We have confirmed this:
For those who are not getting a 3g icon, if you write all 12 nv items from whiterabbit.org, it should come up with the icon. If you just write 5 nv items, you must use qpst and change your username and password on the M.IP tab and the PPP config tab(including Rm, Um, and AN tabs). This has now been confirmed by 2 different sources.

EDIT: If you did use the ones from whiterabbit, and you are still not getting the icon, try the qpst suggestion I mentioned.

@SyZtyM The first time I installed the Smoked glass rom, the wifi didn't work. After reinstalling and Overclocking it, wifi worked for me.
