Motorola Droid, Acer neoTouch, or Samsung Omnia II

I can't make up my mind between these phones. I've always used WinMo, but I'm up for a change so I added the Droid in. I like to watch movies on my phone though so I don't know how good Android is at that exactly. Anyone have any experience? I mostly use my phone for movies, games, and internet. Can you play java games on Android or just the ones from the Marketplace?

I say go with the Motorola Droid. You only got one life to live. Try to explore different platforms and build up your experience. I think its truly boring to keep sticking to one platform all the time.

Hmm I highly doubt its available for GSM...I could be wrong but thing that site may have its product info mixed up.

If it is available for GSM North America I know what I am getting myself for Christmas.

Correction there does appear to be a GSM variant coming..yippee

Thanks, Southern. That's what I was thinking also. I saw that their is one coming, but there's barely any info yet which made me doubt someone had it already. I really like the Droid so I might wait for the GSM to come out or the N900. I forgot about that one.

Browser is among the best ones out there, and I believe the video player is decent, including native YouTube, which Google also owns. In fact, the Android's YouTube player allows you to directly upload videos to YouTube.

The fun with Android is all those location based apps like Google Maps and Latitude and augmented reality stuff like Layar.

Android Marketplace now has 12,000 apps and still growing. That's like a way distant second to Apple, but well ahead of RIM, Windows Mobile, Symbian, Palm, etc,. You're sure to find decent apps that you may want unless its extremely specific.
