Motorola Cliq XT Vs. Samsung Behold II

Looking to get an even more plus plan on T-mobile...live in an area without much 3g, so will primarily be using wifi for internet access. Looking to use it for texting, music, and web surfing. I really want Android, and these two phones seem like the two best, cheapest options. Any opinions?
Thanks in advance.

Well to start off, I'm pretty sure the behold is a touch screen. But I'm not 100% positive, it would be really easy to check the specs on Tmobile's website. My advice is if you are younger and really into a smart phone for the purposes of entertainment, fun stuff, social networking, etc, then you will definitely love the Cliq and should go with that. The cliq is a very fun phone no matter what you decide to use it for. Don't let the fact that people have negative things to say deter you from wanting one. I'm sure people are also complaining about the Tap and the Behold because everything has problems sometimes. Especially with new technology, like what we've got now. Order yourself whichever one you decide suits you best, and if you don't like it, return it within the remorse period. Try out a different one, get a replacement if you're having problems with the phone, you will eventually find the perfect phone for you.

I haven't played with the XT yet, but the Behold 2 has a hell of a phone. Probably my favorite Android on T-mobile besides the Nexus One. If the XT is anything like the original, you'll be satisfied. It's a social networking powerhouse, so if you're gonna buy one, might as well get started on Facebook and Twitter now, lol.

My problem with the Behold 2: TouchWiz.

It takes effort to genuinely hurt the intuitiveness of Android, but Samsung found a way to do it. Makes MOTOBLUR on the Cliq XT seem natural by comparison. If you can delete TouchWiz, then the Behold II is a more convincing case, but otherwise I'd go with the Cliq XT.

You can always bypass any UI to access the native interface by doing a short tap on the Home button. That will bring you to a list of UIs (yes multiple UIs can be supported simultaneously) and you simply pick Launcher instead of TouchWiz and you're back in the native interface. Its like task switching. You can always task switch back to TouchWiz or Motoblur anytime.
