motorola backflip good phone?

so, i really want a phone like the iphone, but i don't want an ipod. can you get all the apps that iphones have on other mobile phones? I saw the motorola backflip and it looks awesome. does anyone know if it's good? also,
can you connect to wireless internet with it?
can you download and use any app?

i need as much info as possible.
