motorcycle mechanic degree?

Lately I have been getting into motorcycles a lot.
I am doing a lot of research on them and I am hoping to be able to save up the next couple years to purchase my first bike. That being said, I am very new to this area and I have been watching Jesse James' Motorcycle Mania and watching how they build has caught my interest in a possible area of study for me here at college.

Would I be able to get into this sort of thing in a basic university? or would I have to go to a school specified for mechanical study and such?
 
Regular colleges usually don't offer degrees such as this. You need to go to a trade school like MMI (Motorcycle Mechanics Institute). Those schools are sketchy, though. A lot of times they go out of business and then you are out a lot of money. MMI should be around for a while, though.
