Motorcycle jeans

hey guys..i would like to purchase a pair or 2 to give em a try but there are so many out there that i feel lost...does somebody have recommendations about the best out there plus the additional armour?

your input will be highly appreciated...thanks..

I wear the Shift Racing "Torque" Jeans. They have kevlar in the knees and butt and are well made.

But knowing that nothing beats leather and that asphalt can shred even kevlar-lined jeans, I wear Icon leg armor and T-pro Forcefield undershorts under the jeans. It all fits quite comfortably, too.

I have these, and like them alot. I crash tested them and they did very well. Photos in my album. Link to buy. http://www.compacc.com/p/Sliders-Kevlar-Motorcycle-Riding-Jeans-3-0

This is a great deal, if you like the stile. I dont, but need a new pair, so am going to get one for me, and one for my son. Will make you look younger, if you need help with that like I do.

um, FYI, I had an off wearing Dainese textile pants that were reinforced with kevlar. For all the good they did I might as well of been wearing tissue paper.

The protection you'd get from jeans would be mostly psychological.

Anything less than leather and you're pretty much guaranteed to get some serious road rash.

Jules..i do know that nothing beats leather but i can't stand the heat in traffic...the jeans are only for riding around in town and for sure they are better then wearing just normal jeans..plus im looking for the hip and knee protectors as well..

Thanks Stim for the links...

i guess i found what im looking for at

+1. I've got those too and they're something you can actually wear around without looking like a Valentino Rossi wannabe. I think they'd be marginally better for sliding than regular jeans but still nowhere near as good as actual leathers. They're kinda warm on hot days though.

Welcome. I just orderd http://www.compacc.com/p/Sliders-Kevlar-Cargo-2-0-Riding-Pants-Closeout/1001002 as the SS jeans dont go long enough.
And this, http://www.compacc.com/p/Firstgear-Mesh-Tex-3-0-Jackets-With-Liner-Closeout/1001 and http://www.compacc.com/p/Fieldsheer-Back-Pad-CE-Melicomb-Armor-Closeout/2001008
as I forgot mine in Austraila. I have not mist them till now. Its been 100f in Montana the last 3 days, but its a dry heat.

This is a good deal on a Ducati GP shirt if you are small. http://www.compacc.com/p/Ducati-Team-Crew-Shirt-Closeout

I also have the Icon field armor shin and knee protectors. They fit under all my jeans and are hardly noticable!! I have'nt tested them yet, Thank God, but I am happy with them as far as comfort and size!!
