Moto L7c - Pocket and Cricket?

I went to Pocket simply because of where I live, I am in Helotes, TX - except I live ~12 miles outside of loop 1604. When I came back from AK last year, I tried Cricket and it didn't work, went into roam about 4 miles from the house. Now Cricket shows the whole area as being covered.

Questions;

1) I have a Moto SLVR L7c and there seems to be a place to put 2 nurabers in. Can I use it on both Pocket and Cricket while I "transfer" to the new nuraber?

2) I use my phone for internet because I don't want/need another bill right now. Yes it's slooooooow - worse than dial-up, but I don't have a home phone so for now it works. The question - Is Cricket's internet faster in the SA area than Pocket's?

3) I interrupted the girl at the Cricket store from painting her nails... this is not a HUGE selling point when I'm looking to change service... and she told me I could only use a "Cricket" phone - well, Cricket sells the L7c, will I just need to flash it for it to work?

The biggest reason I want to change is the internet speed and the coverage areas - well lack of - for Pocket. Outside SA and you're scroood unless you go to the valley, and I don't.

Not sure about the internet speeRAB in TX but:

1) No, that is your MDN and MIN, each carrier provides you one of each, so you can't use two different nurabers on the phone (unless someone knows how to enable dual nams on a l7c)

2) From my experience in Nashville the internet is pretty fast :)

3) That does suck, I would be upset about that too. You can use that phone for cricket. You can either do a basic flash so you can go back to pocket if you so choose or do a full flash which will change the software to Cricket's so you can have picture messaging and internet. But once you do that I don't think there is any going back b/c there isn't a Pocket l7c firmware out to my knowledge
 
Thanks Firestrom, I didn't think you could do 2 nurabers because I've never heard any one say they "had" it and I think that is something you would hear about... read "bragging rights".

As far as the flashing of the phone and not being able to go back, I was afraid it it was all or nothing. Maybe I'll look for a second cheap phone an have dual for awhile.


simple3 - so your accomplishment of 1000 and 2000 post is useless comments like "was she cute"? Wow, you must be so proud of yourself. Don't hurt yourself patting yourself on the back giving yourself the ata boys... I bet you work with her, she was almost as useless. Have you ever posted anything useful. Doubt it.
