moto droid cdma - Failed... Phone does not answer

i accidently updated my band, and now im stuck with verizon droid, im in the process of trying to reflash my droid, BUT cdma wont connect, and i keep getting the error failed.. phone does not answer, ive been stuck here for an hour now and im stuck with out a business phone, my grandma's in the hospital so if you guys have it in ur hearts to help me out and get my phone back and running i would greatly be in ur debt.
 
Simple: Have you put your phone in diag mode and created a COM port to it through HWVSP? You won't even need to use cdma ws. All you'll need to do is modify your MIN, MDN, and SID in the PROGRAM menu under activation, and flash a cricket PRL, and you're good to go.
 
I updated to froyo 2.2 and when I connect to CDMA Workshop it gives me the "failed phone does not answer" Is this a ROM nuisance or a setting I didnt check off. I have put it in DIAG mode by holding T in reboot and have checked the USB debugging.
 
Problem with ROM is it's using the P3 kernel. P3 kernels are proven to NOT work with Diag mode. You'll have to do your talk/text/PRL/NV outside of the FroYo ROM, then flash the FroYo ROM itself. You cannot flash a different kernel in FroYo, or you WILL experience big problems.
 
I've tried to update to 2.2 but when I do I lose internet access and can't work with Diag mode like you stated above.......I need to "You'll have to do your talk/text/PRL/NV outside of the FroYo Rom" explained.......
I can get 2.1 to work....just need some clarification on how to get 2.2 done.......
