Motiv Vortex bicycle for $80....? Worth it? Good bike?

I have an opportunity to purchase a Motiv Vortex bike for $80 used. I want a bike so I can go riding around with my girlfriend, I don't really plan on doing anything too strenuous with it, so I'm looking for something cheap but still a solid bike. What do you think?
 
Go for it

It's a decent bike for $80 as long as it's in good shape. New, they cost $250 to $300 back in the mid-2000's. Frame is very good but the components are only fair. I've upgraded almost all my components to LX-level.
