My son is 22mo and 26lbs and still facing back, the way I see it, it's safer so better, why would I turn it if he can stay like that until he's 33lbs, right? Well, I'm sick of being looked at like I'm a freak because I keep my son looking back!! Just a couple of days ago my FIL picked up my son so I installed his car seat and he asked so amazed ''WHY do YOU put him looking BACKWARDS?'' I answered that it is the way it's supposed to go..
I don't know about you guys, I live in Mexico and I'm sick of watching young children riding in the front seat without at least the seat belt! On their parent's lap or on the back but standing up and what not, I've even seen BABIES in rear-facing car seats..... wait for it...... looking FORWARD!!, why don't people bother to read the manual?? It's your child's safety we're talking about!! Even my parents say I'm paranoid because my siblings and I always sat on their lap in the car when young and we're ok.. yes, it's illegal and still these people just don't give a sh!t..Ugh.. I wish I could slap some sense into them, even family members! It's hard to see my nieces & nephew being put at risk like that...so.. I know this is a bit of a rant but here's the question-
Am I alone on this one? Do your children ever ride in the car without their car seat? In the front seat? On your lap?
lmao at chicobag.. Do a little research & see for yourself
Ok, my son is almost 2, not 3 and his car seat clearly states that for rear facing the limit is 33 lbs and then switch until 50lbs.. I see no reason to turn him just yet.. He behaves perfectly even looking back
Oh and I am in no way a paranoid, crazy mom, I'm pretty relaxed and don't worry about unimportant stuff.. Safety IS important and I like to do everything I can to give my son a chance, if, God forbid, an accident were to happen.. They happen you know?.. EVERY day..
