nationality for child? my child's father wants him to be get registered as polish as well as british. i just don't see a good enough reason except that the father wants to feel the the child is 'more polish'. the father and i are not together and i fear that this will give him more rights to my child in poland. i also have the fear of abduction and that poland would not help me if this was to be the case. We as parents get on civil, i do not stop him seeing the child at all. my child is 2years old

Regards

There is no benefits having dual citizenship. Poland is an EU country. To be truthful your child might be forced to do military service if they are a Polish citizen. It would give him more rights to your child in poland. But if he does remove your child without your say he could get in big trouble. If you are worried get a lawyer.

He wants his child to be more polish? He is an idiot. the child was born in Britain. To a British citizenship and has lived 2 years the child's life in the UK. Your child is already more British.

If I was you I would not let him get your child a Polish Passport.
