Ok here's the deal. My Mother in law is basically raising her daughter's 2 almost 3 year old daughter. She thinks this child is the most wonderfully well behaved child on the face of the earth. The truth is though, she is very hyper and doesn't listen worth a lick! My Mother in law is constantly letting her touch my 2 month old son with messy hands, and lets them lay together...which doesn't work with a hyper 2 year old. She started squirming around, and head-butted my son rather hard. That really p*ssed me off. AND SHE DIDN'T EVEN TELL HER SHE HAD DONE ANYTHING WRONG!!! She was letting her touch all over my son's face after eating a honey bun. And she just told me she'd wipe him off after the kid was done touching him. How do I let my mother in law know that I WANT LIMITS!? I don't wanna hurt her feelings, because she is a very soft-hearted person. But I DO want it made clear that I don't think the kid should just do whatever she wants with MY baby. He is NOT a baby doll!
I have had my husband tell the little girl to be more gentle with the baby, and his Mom will just say, "Ah, she's not hurting him." So, it doesn't help when I say it either...
But I have to have my son's grandma in his life.
I'm not going to completely stop going over there.
