Most popular Japanese cell phone game made by a company in Ottawa?

I was watching the news a while ago (as in half an hour ago) and I happened to hear something about an cell phone game made in Ottawa (that's the capital of Canada fyi) that was extremely popular in Japan. I remember it was the #1 most downloaded game or something.

Does anyone have any idea what it's called? I sort of remember it beginning with a K... but don't take my word for it. Anyways, it was a really strange-sounding name.
 
maybe you should ask this question on polls and riddles.
nearly every week my cell phone company sends me a mail with a new game to download for free, play for free etc.so the games change so often it's difficult to know, and we certainly aren't informed about where the game originated.
