Most likely causes for my '87 honda prelude idle problem?

My rpms shoot up n down consistently whenever i have the clutch in or im in neutral. I know its notorious honda problem, thats all im told whenever i try to ask someone about it. If it helps pin point it at all it started doing it every once in a while like when i would be driving for a while and my car was warmed up, but now it starts within 30 seconds of starting the engine. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks
