Is obviously the movies! I've only flown virgin for the past 14 flights to LA. There was a gap there for about 4 years and in the interim period, they upgraded their inflight entertainment so that (if you don't know) you get a choice of many, many movies, which act like a video - ie, you can pause, rewind, forward etc. If you travel Virgin, you can go online to find out which movies feature.
On my last trip I watched (before they were out on DVD) Transamerica and Lucky Number Slevin.

You always feel slightly good that you are seeing these films before DVD release!
What films inflight are memorable to you - and for what reason...
I remember Pay It Forward as I cried so long and loud sobs (which I was unaware of the volume of because of the headphones...) that when it was over most of the people in the forward and backward 4/5 rows laughed and asked what I'd been watching - as they didn't want to now!!
I remember The Blair Witch Project because it was boring and me and my husband joined the mile high club during this as it was so crap!!
