Most current version of Java available for old Apple Powerbook? How do I get it?

What is the most current version of Java available for an old Apple Powerbook? (It is not an Intel-based machine.)
How do I get this latest version, without using System Update?
When I run system update, it tells me no updates are available. I want to force-update a newer version.
