Most Anticpated Animated Series for 2011

It's about that time of year again to vote for new animated series you guys are looking forward to. A new year surely means new cartoons, right? I rallied up the eight most anticipated cartoons to air throughout the next year. Yes, multiple choice is allowed this time for those who're looking forward to all of these.

Fire away with the votes, rabroad public! ;)

Young Justice definately, and I have hope for Ultimate Spider-Man. As for the rest, I may check out Tai Chi Chasers and TMNT 2011.

Had to vote Young Justice, that's going to be so awesome. I would've voted for Ultimate Spider-Man, but I still miss Spectacular, and I keep wondering if we're going to have a fifth Spider Cliffhanger on our hands.

Voted for Kung Fu Panda (saw some scenes & the theme song and I look forward to it) and Looney Tunes Show (the pictures and promo are making me look forward to it a lot)!

Out of the ones in the poll, Kung Fu Panda: Legends Of Awesomeness. A lot of stuff from Comic Con has been uploaded and it looks like it?s going to be very entertaining; for those who want to check it out, the Kung Fu Panda stuff starts at roughly 2:12. However, what I?m most looking forward to is The Amazing World Of Gumball. It looks very surreal and I?ve loved just about everything I?ve seen from it at this point. The only problem is that I?ve seen very little. Hopefully they?ll release some more stuff before much longer.

Avatar: The Legend of Korra is a definite number one. Absolutely, positively, can't wait for it.

Young Justice runs second and will be premiering earlier than Korra so there's more instant payoff. The pilot was good stuff so I'm looking forward to this even though I'm not a DC guy. But YJ's pilot made it clear you don't have to be a DC guy to enjoy this show.

Ultimate Spider-Man I did vote for because I'm a Spidey nerd, but I have reservations. Paul Dini I like, Man of Action not so like. Overall, I need to hear concrete news about the show and how it's developing before I can positively anticipate it.

I voted for Young Justice, Ultimate Spider-Man & Avatar: The Legend of Korra.

I'm a huge superhoero fan, and I've liked or loved all the previous DC animated shows of the 00s decade, and I'm a big fan of Greg Weisman's work on Gargoyles & Spectacular Spider-Man so his involvement is making me hyped. Batman: Under the Red Hood is my favourite movie of the DC Universe ones, and the fact the director of it is also involved in Young Justice just builds to my hype. Phil Bourassa and his team did an amazing job of character designs and Jamie Thomas is a great voice director, so with all those talented people involved, how can I not be looking forward to this?

As I said I'm a big superhero fan whether it be DC or Marvel, so I'm also looking forward to Ultimate Spider-Man. I haven't read the comics it's going to be based off of but I've heard good things about so I'm anticipating this as well. I'm sad to see Spectacular Spider-Man come to a premature end, but that doesn't mean I don't want to see Spider-Man on the TV. Hopefully this is different enough from previous animated Spider-Man shows to stand on it's own while still staying true to (ultimate) Spider-Man's core.

Avatar: The Last Airbender is one of my favourite shows, so I'm definitely excited for this sequel series. I'm glad that the original creative team is going to be involved still, and I think Joaquim Dos Santos is going to be more involved in the production of it, and he's one of my favourite cartoon directors so I'm really looking forward to this as well.

2011 is going be a good year for cartoons.

Just a friendly mod reminder here. Please explain your choices for this poll. While there have been quite a few posts that give explanations, I'd still prefer not letting this thread become a list thread. Any other posts without giving explanations is subject to deletion and infractions. Thank you.

Anyway, I'm definitely looking forward to Avatar: The Legend of Korra. After seeing the ending to the original series, it should be really interesting to see how the writers work with the future to create a new look for the Avatar universe and exploring new characters, while possibly a bit of look or reference to the original cast. I'm also really looking forward to Young Justice. The premier episodes had a great amount of action and interesting characters. Plus, I'll like seeing another animated series featuring characters I'm not completely familiar with like with the Batman series. I am also interested with the new TMNT series. While there hasn't been much information about it, as far as I know at least, I'm curious as to what kind of tone it will have and what the character designs look like.

Young Justice feels like a safe bet after they had a very awesome premiere

Avatar Legend of Korra would be another one; granted it will be short, but it may still be very good. The original show was great and the writing team might be able to do really well if the short series allows them to focus all on story as opposed to filler

Ultimate Spiderman might have some good hope since marvel tends to do pretty well on their tv series for the most part

eh, i'm REALLY skeptical of the Looney Toons show. Really most every modern attempt to bring back the looney toons have fell short. It's like the modern cartoons just can't measure up to masterful work done way back in the days... I feel like the last show that really captured that Looney Toon's spirit was probably Animaniacs unless I missed a more recent good show.

The rest I'm not really sure

Also shouldn't Transformers Prime be on this list aswell... They may have had their first 5 episodes premiere already, but the series doesn't actually start till February

Korra's the one I'm dying to see/not gonna miss a single episode.

Young Justice I'm sure will be good, but the question is how good. Will it feel too much like second-rate JLU or serious Teen Titans or will it stand on its own? Missed the preview episode so can't judge based on that.

Green Lantern should be good, but I'm a bit wary about the CGI. Even if the show itself is good if the animation looks cheap or wooden it could be a major turn-off.

Looney Tunes Show I'll give a chance, maybe even a two-or-three episode one since sometimes comedy series like that can need some time to find their groove, but I'm REALLY, REALLY, REALLY nervous about that one. It'll either be really good or terrible.

The rest I'm not particularly hyped for at the moment. Motorcity and Dan Vs. sound decent but I don't have either XD or The Hub currently so I probably won't see much of them.

The Looney Tunes show. Even though it has the "the Looney Tunes characters in a SITCOM!"-gimmick, i still get the impression that they are really trying this time around to revive the feel of the classic shorts.

And furthermore, June Foray is voicing Granny (the owner of Sylvester and Tweety) again (who, to anyone who doesn't know, voiced the character in the classic shorts as early as 1943 and is now 93 years old). Just think about how amazing that is; an actual crew member of the original Looney Tunes shorts is involved in this brand new show. How cool ain't that?

Thanks for getting me even more hyped about the show, I actually think they did a fantastic job with the voice casting, including Jeff Bergman as Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck
Joe Alaskey as Sylvester, Tweety and Pepe Le Pew
June Foray as Granny and Witch Hazel
Billy West as Elmer Fudd
Maurice LaMarche as Yosemite Sam
Bob Bergen as Porky Pig and Speedy Gonzales
Jeff Bennett as Foghorn Leghorn
Eric Bauza as Marvin the Martian
Jim Cummings as Tasmanian Devil and Gossamer
Stan Freberg as Pete Puma
Rob Paulsen as Mac Gopher
Jess Harnell as Tosh Gopher
Kath Soucie as Lola Bunny and
Frank Welker as Road Runner
Also, I voted for the Looney Tunes show :)
From other pictures I have seen of the show, it sure reminds me of Tiny Toons and gives me a good vibe from the show. I really wonder how the theme song will be like. Can't wait for this SPRING!

I am also very very excited about the LT SHOW since there's many people from these WB shows:Tiny Toons, Freakazoid!, Pinky and The Brain, and Animaniacs that are working on this series!!!
