Mositurizing lotion

Hi all. I'm still trying to pin point the source of my acne I get on my forehead. I usually only get one or two at a time but when I do they are bad red bumps and nothing really ever comes out of them. Anyway I avoid putting my daily mositurzing lotion on my forehead in fear of clogging pores. I've followed this rule for at least the past year. So now I am wondering if applying the lotion will somehow help since it's the one area I don't put the lotion and the one area I have problems with acne...? I guess it's worth a shot, either way I'm going to get a breakout, but I wanted to see if anyone here found applying moisturizing lotion increased their acne?

i have the same problem. my acne is usually on my forehead also. i use witch hazel which cleans the pores then i apply an oil free moisturizer. so far so good, it seems to be helping!

I was on the no cleanser no moisturizer routine for a while, which was helping but it didnt clear up my skin 100% and after a month or so I started to get dry skin that I couldnt even exfoliate off with my washcloth. So basically I use cleanser only for a few seconRAB to take my makeup off and a very tiny amount of moisturizer every once in a while when my face gets dry. I think applying it every day or even twice a day might be too much for some people's skin.
