I'm not sure about other places but I know of few buddies of mine around where I live, in eastern pa area, who have gotten one of those "we are improving a service in your area" post card type thing in a mail from Nextel. I'm not sure about building new towers from ground up but according to one friend of mine who works for cell. phone place, nextel is looking into adding to an existing sprint towers. One of the many rumors & I'm not sure how to take it. I do have to admit, I've been getting better service than I used to about a year ago when I first joined in to nextel.
