I'm still seeing a pediatrician when I have to go to the doctor, but I'm 16 yrs old. Is it time I go to a real-person doctor?
And my doctor is a male. Now, he's been my doctor for most of my life, but uh....yeah...it's getting a little awkward....
Also, I am still a virgin- going on the definition of lack of any sexual activity- but should I still get 'examined', just to be safe?
And as for the 'exams', how bad are they? I mean, you're just, lying there, with everything on display for the world to see. Then, someone you barely know is going to be probing and poking at things and I hear there's some kind of gel and.... it just sounds uncomfortable- both emotionally and physically.
And, questions for my friend (and by friend, I do mean my actual, real-life, very sexually active and stupid friend)
Do you have to be a certain age to buy condoms?
Do you have to have a parent with you if you're a minor at Planned Parenthood or anything of the like?
At Planned Parenthood- or the like- what services do they offer?
And finally (and worse of all)
Is there a difference between 'rape' and 'taking advantage of'?
For the last thing, I'm trying to convince her to go to the police, but she's terrified for all of the basic reason -I was doing illegal things at the time, -I'm not sure if it was consensual or not, -I don't want my parents to know, -I'm worried about what he'll do to himself, me, or others.
