More Outlook Sync Problems!

Hi Guys

I've been struggling with a problem for the past few weeks and I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

I have a Tungsten T which I used to hotsync successfully with Windows ME. After installing Windows XP I have been unable to hotsync with outlook.

The following message is Displayed after the attempted hotsync

- Could not open Handheld's e-mail Database.
- VersaMail : The conduit cannot communicate with the program on the device. There are two possible causes:

1. The device is not properly connected to the cradle.
2. VersaMail has not been configured on the device.

Make sure that the device is connected to the cradle and that you have run VersaMail at least once.

Sorry for the length of the log- but I'm unsure which of this info is important.

I've tried reinstalling all the palm software and have updated to the latest version of pocket mirror with no success.

Any advice would be very much appreciated!

If I'm not mistaken, there is a patch you can download from palmOne's web site that will fix problems associated with synchronizing with Outlook. It is in the product downloads section.

Go into Outlook and from the help menu run "Detect and Repair".

If you still have the problem, go to www.chapura.com and e-mail their technical support with a copy of your log file. They can usually diagnose the problem pretty quicly based on the Root Conduit errors. The problem could be coming from Outlook, Pocket Mirror, or the Palm so it's a lot easier for them to diagnose and walk you through a fix than any of us.
