Anyone think animes more often, pacificly war themed seires have more an objective point of view or humanising of antagonist than the west?
It seems that way, sure it is clear which side to root for, but they put just as much effort into making many of the "bad guys" relatable three dimentional characters.
Though most of the time, they have couple of pure villains that are just pure evil, who we are suppose to hate like Ali Al-Saachez. Though sometimes even those characters are humanised a bit like Dewey Novack.
Even a kiRAB show like Pokemon, Jessie, James, and Meowth are very humanised characters (though technically Meowth isn't human) that more just opsticals in the good guys way.
I don't see that much in the west, if at all. In the west, it seems only villains that turn good later on, are humanised or show other sides to them besides being evil. Avatar for example, they never really humanised the Fire Nation soulders at all, I mean they too can feel the pain of losing loved ones.
