alright my buddy has a 98 neon that hes has bought a srt motor for it. now i told him over the summer to just get a wrecked complete srt4 and piece it out. well he wouldn't listen to me and ive asked this question on here before. so im left trying to get parts rounded up for him. well he spent 3500 on a motor, trans, ecu, harness, axles, spindles and cradle from a salvage yard in iowa.
now i know hes still missing the i/c, piping, srt radiator, shifter assem, pedal assem shifter cables (unless they used linkages but highly doubt it), clutch master and slave, and misc needed parts. that's all i can think of that he would need to complete this. and since i got stuck doing the work on it, i wanna make sure i have everything there to do this and not get 3/4 the way done and figure out that ohhh hes didn't get this....would like to avoid that crap.
now ive been reading that a lot of people that do this swap also swap out for the srt steering assem (wheel, ign, etc.) and the dash assem. this isn't needed as far as i can tell, is it.
now hes spent 3500 already on it and i figured he would be spending about an extra 2-3 grand on parts hes missing and fab components so i can do the i/c and exhaust for him. sound right??
