Moose's Continuing Saga of What Device

Just to update my buds here at the forum:

It appears now that the company will be going to Blackberry 7100t's. Final decision to be made early next week but after debating with cellular carriers, the purchase of units, software etc - our program appears to be headed to the Blackberry units with a remote program based on their IAS server programs.

This will be an interesting transition and since I now have my kids using my old Tungsten and T3 - I may still go out and buy a Tungsten E after disposing of the Sprint Treo 600.

I have so many personal programs on the Palm platform that I'll need to keep something around for use of programs like:

MobileDB
Automobile
ScreenShot
Expense Diary
Agendus - I would keep a seperate personal calendar
PowerOne Calculator

just to name a few.

I'll let you know, after the final decision as to what I think of the blackberry - it looks interesting to say the least.

Update/Edit: Went digging in the closet and found my "old" M515. Perhaps this will get some use for awhile since it's compatible with the cradle to the T and T3.....

I know what you mean. Our company has just started rolling out the Blackberry 7200's - and the next model that comes out will see those. The problem is that we still have some of the older models out there.

We stopped supporting Palm OS devices a year or two ago. If the client has Admin Rights (Developer's, etc) then they're on their own to install them. Other than that, it's been Pocket PC's. I think there are still more Palm devices than PPC's though.

My kids have a couple of my older Palms. The 5 year old is more careful than some of the grown-ups tend to me.
