monthly charge for buying Apple itouch apps?

I don't have a source from apple, but I can tell you that I download apps quite frequently, mostly the free ones. I have NEVER been charged and if you're going to get charged then the app will usually state that there is some sort of subscription fee. Theres nothing hidden

site your sources please. I need a creditable source because the apps will be purchased on some one elses credit card. Does it state the the terms of purchasing apps on apple or the app store? If so, where? I can't find it anything. I would really love a quote from Apple.
