Hello.

I'm an allergic patient which has got a terrible infection, or it seems like it with sore throat, mucus, the whole package.

I was given amoxicilin for starters but as it didn't got me out the doctor changed to Levofloxacin, the thing is that I was taking Montelukast previous to this infection, I did forget to tell the doctor about it, but as I'm not keen to mix a whole lot of drugs, unless I'm told to, I decided to stop taking it.

But some of my night coughing stuff got actually worse, and I was wondering if it could be caused by suspending MOntelukast, and if someone know if it's safe to take it alongside Levofloxacin (500 mg, one a day)

Thanks

(I'm also trying to reach out my doc tight now)

Yes, it's safe to take them together and yes, the fact that you stopped the montelukast could explain why you're coughing more than you were before.

You should start back on it right away.
