Last week my doctor told me I have mono and that I've had it for 2-3 weeks already. I haven't had a fever or sore throat. The only symptoms I'm really feeling are fatigue, weakness and muscle aches. I know those are all symptomatic of mono but I was wondering if brittle nails are too. My nails never look the way they do now- ripping at the edges, white spot under nail. I am generally a very healthy eater and have been eating even healthier since I found out I have mono. I also just started to take a multivitamin everyday.
Is the mono causing the brittle nails? I guess this could be a vitamin deficiency but I just don't see how I could be having all these problems coincidentally at once.
I was also wondering if mono and hypothyroidism could be confused?
