Monkey again sorry, fusion question?

Has anyone ever had a fusion done for an extra vertabrea thats fused with the sacrum? I think someone on here did but can't remeraber , brain fog form thyroid meRAB:confused:

That would be me! I had it done when I was 17. Now I am 44. What can I help you with?
 
pepper, thanks, was that what wasn't successful? Or did it fail and then you have tried other surgery alternatives? I am just curious as the one specialist mentioned this too me and i am wondering what the success rate is? I have an aunt and her sister had it done and was a-okay after the fact, and i know you have struggled alot and i am wondering if the fusion at 17 is what started all your back problems?

I had the fusion in 1982 and had absolutely no problems until 2004. At that time, the next level blew out which is not that uncommon. It is known as the domino affect. I have had no problems with the level that was fused in 1982.
