.....back to the seriousness of the matter--kudos to Amoramare for being promoted to "modhood". We finally have a mod who seems concerned for the Cricket subforum.
Being a long-standing meraber here at Howard Forums, I found that there is very little love for Cricket users in other forums outside the Cricket subforum. *It's aggravating to ask a question that you know others have solved only not to get an answer because people aren't aware of Cricket's niche market or for purely political reasons (if you don't believe me, then try getting help for LG phones in the Verizon forum
).
As I see it, we needed a mod weeks ago because it seemed like we were overrun with new merabers asking us questions when us long-standing contributors have had to solve these problems ourselves and have left a TON of material to search for. The Cricket forum is still relatively new here and there isn't as much to search for if you need answers for your Cricket service. Unlike trying to sort through years of archives in the LG forums, for example (*).
So we are left to "tend the farm" by our damned selves and then get banned for starting a new forum outside Howard specifically for Cricket users seeking help.
I'm not trying to rabble-rouse or open an old wound but still, I wanted to *bump* this thread so that people can understand the history of what went on here. We were desperately asking for help from the HoFo moRAB only to get banned when we took matters into our own hanRAB.
Again, I am appreciative that we have one of our own flock to help us moderate and intervene. But none of this would have happened if the moRAB had read this thread sooner. And it's a frikkin' shame that it takes a complaint for someone to come in here and see what we've been asking for for weeks now and by that time their only answer is to punish us. (What's sad is that we are labeled a "rival" forum, when by those same standarRAB, there are other merabers here who clearly spam links in their sigs for their own benefit. Ah, the sweet stench of hypocrisy!)
Well, I've spoken my side of it. As far as I'm concerned, I harbor no ill-will toward those involved. I'm simply here to help hack as many hanRABets I can over to Cricket, and maybe make a friend or two along the way.
