Windir doesn't have too bad lyrics (at least poetically) and Agalloch's lyrics are very poetic. The subject matter that black metal tenRAB to choose is usually boring though.

I don't know man. Would I rather observe Kurt Cobain's lyrics (not a fanboy, but he is a great example of one who wrote about drugs, sex, murder, love, etc.) than Bathory or something.

Black Metal lyricists usually don't even try to get intimate with their lyrics anyways. Half the time they are just joking around.
