I have a JVC enverio HDD camera that records in mpeg2 format that for no apparent reason is called MOD. so no normal human being can use them. (good job JVC, real smart...)
Anyway. I want to do high end (or highEST with my camera) video editing. I finally got the files to work in adobe premier pro cs3 with a dll and by renaming videos to m2v but I can't, for the life of me, figure out how to use then in adobe after effects cs4.
Everything I've found so far says to convert the files using power director (I'd rather die than have that on my computer) or some other converter. But the problem is that everything I can find that converts MOD. loses quality.
Is there no way to edit videos off a JVC camera without loss of quality?
I'm about ready to smash my camera with a sledge hammer and buy a new one that produces a reasonable file type.
Like wth were they thinking? haha
Anyway... sorry for the rant, just annoyed. Any help would be great.
Thanks!
