I looked at it, but decided to go with the Dakota Digital MCL-2004. It has some great features, gear position indicator, tach, digital speed, can display oil temp with addition of the sensor, will also display the things on the console (Turn signals, bright lights, etc), looks black when off, can be had with blue or red lights. Easy install......Retail is $500, got mine off ebay for $400 with free shipping, no tax.

Twinrider,
Did you get the instrument bezel yet? If so did it cure the glare on the windshield?
I went back to the stock speedo because of the glare from the digital display. If the bezel works, I'll take the digital back out of the box and try again.
I may try putting some tinted film over the display to dim it, but I think that would make it too hard to read in daytime.
Does anyone have any other ideas to cut down the intensity of the backlight?

I just look straight ahead over the windshield as usual and read the instrument with my peripheral vision. The speed numbers are a freaking inch high, no problem seeing that and the tach 4,000 rpm is at 12 o'clock so not much mystery there either to my way of looking at it. I'll ride it more at night and let you know about if I see the glare mention. I have straight across windshield bags so I think that may block the reflection. We'll see.

BigDawg,
I don't have any problem reading the guage in daylight either.
I was talking about covering the guage face with something like window tint to cut down on the brightness and glare at night, but I don't know if it would still be easy to read the guage through the tint in daylight.

Subscribed to this one.
I look over the top of my 17" Clearview, by a few inches but I couldnt handle an orange ball in my peripheral at night.

Texasmike,
If you look at the picture of the guage face, I think the ABS indicator is the lower right icon. I don't have ABS on my bike, but the symbol looks the same as the ABS indicator Harley uses on their other guages. As far as I could tell during the time I had it installed, all functions and indicators on the stock guage are on this one too.
