Mobile Phone contract with Orange the Iphone 3GS?

Hi, I was wondering whether anyone out there can help me out or give me some advice? Well the situation is I have a 18 months contract with Orange for the Iphone 3GS.

The first few months of having it, it was great but it started to progressively worse, the calls were dropping, it was no service for about a couple of hours, I spoke to Orange on a number of times and they of course were very good, they done all sorts of checks at there end and they said they think one of the masts were down so of course they sorted that out.

Anyway it went ok for about a week, and guess what it started happening again, so what happened they said to go into my nearest Apple store which I did and they replaced it. And after a further week it started to kick off again anyway cut a long story short apple have replace the phone 6 times, Orange have replaced the sim cards 4 times.

Also Orange has booted the signal on the phone still no difference, what am getting at because of all the problems we have had with the phone we want to cancel the contract, but Orange are saying that I need to Pay £500.00 to terminate the contract personally I don't think I have to pay because of the problems we have had with the phone as some days I haven't had a service for half a day.

So can you recommend anyways I can try and cancel this contract please?
