Mixing Software?

Whats the best software for mixing, etc? Ill probably get it off torrents.. I just want to mess around, maybe make some shitty beats (Just downloaded fruity loops).. hook a brother up

i heard of a program called like, realm 4.0 or something like that, i heard its good, what is it called?
 
Wait, are you trying to mix pre-existing tunes together, or are you trying to actually write some music?

Maybe track down a copy of Ableton Live, but it might have a steep learning curve. It can be used for production (e.g. building full songs with multiple tracks), and for performance (e.g. mixing songs).
 
For making shitty beats, yeah just fuck with Fruity loops, good way to learn I used it for 8 years and am just moving on to the real deal software now.
