Mitsubishi 3000GT or Pontiac Firebird Trans Am?

So I'm thinking of buying a Mitsubishi 3000GT or a Pontiac Trans Am.
I prefer the last years on the 3000GT and the last years with the Trans Ams.

So which one has better performance?
And I guess which one would be best to upgrade to race?
